Why Our Processes Work

SCMW! has partnered with the Michigan State University's School of Labor and Industrial Relations to develop a Business Solutions Professionals (BSP) Certification Program, an eight-day course funded by the Governor's 21st Century Workforce Initiative. Current BSP professionals include practitioners across Michigan from workforce development, economic development agencies, two and four year colleges, business development groups, unions, local/state government, Michigan State University Extension, community partners, and the state Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth.

Upon certification completion, participants join collaborative teams and apply a standardized process that results in customized solutions for businesses.

The BSP utilizes a process to understand the business' competitive challenges and build a customized proposal that identifies solutions and assets among the network of BSP partners, allowing the business to fully leverage the any resources available throughout the state.
