Southeast Michigan Consortium utilizes the Request for Proposals (RFP) process as a way to properly, and fairly, procure necessary services or goods.
This request for proposals does not commit Southeast Michigan Consortium and the Southeast Michigan Workforce Development Board to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of an application to this request, or to procure or contract for services or supplies. Southeast Michigan Consortium and the Southeast Michigan Workforce Development Board reserve the right to accept or reject any or all applications received as a result of this request, to negotiate with all qualified sources, or to cancel in part or in its entirety the RFP/RFQ if it is in the best interest of Southeast Michigan Consortium and the Southeast Michigan Workforce Development Board to do so. The Southeast Michigan Consortium contracting officer may require the agencies selected to participate in negotiations and to submit any price, technical, or other revisions of their proposals that may result from negotiations.
WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT REGIONAL AND LOCAL PLAN
AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT
The Southeast Michigan Consortium (SEMC) has available for review and public comment the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Regional plan and the WIOA Local plan for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2020. This program is funded by the U.S. Dept. of Labor and the State of Michigan’s Workforce Development Agency to improve job and career options for our nation’s workers and jobseekers through an integrated, job-driven public workforce system that links diverse talent to businesses. The WIOA supports the development of strong, vibrant regional economies where businesses thrive and people want to live and work. The plan will be available for public comment until June 15, 2016.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, a summary of the plan will be available in large print or audio tape upon request.
